Amit Ben-Baruch (b. 1999, New York) is a Brooklyn-based artist working across painting, drawing, and ceramics. She moves slowly and deliberately through layers to reach a place of quiet equilibrium. Each piece becomes a search for balance—a steady rhythm between tension and unity, stillness and vastness.
Her practice is deeply intuitive, guided by a fascination with synchronicities, memory, and the unseen threads that connect moments across time. She draws inspiration from nature, past lives, and the feeling of yearning that lingers just beneath the surface of consciousness. These elements shape a visual language that feels both ancient and immediate.
She layers extensively, often obscuring and revealing in equal measure, allowing form to emerge through repetition and restraint. This accumulation creates space—for reflection, for presence, for sensing the delicate interplay between what is visible and what is felt.
In the end, her work is an offering—a still point in a turning world, where complexity settles into calm.
She received her BFA in Printmaking from the Maryland Institute College of Art in 2022.
