Amit Cassandra Ben-Baruch (b. 1999) is a painter, printmaker, and tattooer based in Brooklyn, NY, in the constant pursuit of fluidity between practices.
Her work focuses on visceral responses to contemplation of the divine feminine, as well as serving as a visual embodiment of her perception of dream states. Within the subtext of her work, themes of feminine sentiments, bodily organic shapes, and yonic forms are at the forefront. More nuanced tones that she aims to emote: of warmth, of longing, of nostalgia, of relief, of “the sun hitting my face”, of past lives, of pause, are left to be discovered by the viewers.
